Timothy Leonard has led the Southbury, CT-based ConnArtists Concerts since establishing the company in 2015, alongside working as an educator and consultant. With the firm, Timothy “TJ” Leonard curates live events in music venues across Southbury, CT, and is involved in all aspects of an event.
Since starting the company, he has worked with numerous musicians and bands, including Rogue Wave and Lou Barlow. It has also put him into contact with multiple venues, such as the Silo and the Woodbury Brewing Company. With the latter, Dr. Leonard has served as a consultant since 2019.
Responsible for marketing and event planning, Dr. Timothy Leonard focuses on social media and the development of related materials. Throughout this time, he has also held roles outside Southbury, CT, with many of these being as an educator.
An assistant professor of academic literacy and linguistics at Manhattan Community College, he teaches six classes. At the university, TJ Leonard co-authored “Integrating service-learning pedagogy into community college coursework: A phenomenological study.” The paper was published in the International Journal of Innovative Teaching and Learning in Higher Education in 2020.
